Ruaida Mannaa
Ruaida is a Colombian/Lebanese illustrator and designer with a diverse background in design projects and experience as a design and illustration professor. She believes that creativity stems from curiosity, driving her to continuously explore and visually interpret the world around her.
Raised in a multicultural family by grandparents and parents who migrated from Lebanon to Latin America, Ruaida was surrounded by different languages, loud parties, and delicious food, all of which inspire her work. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
For her illustration, she drew inspiration from Khalil Gibran’s poetry and sought to honor the stories of her parents and grandparents who migrated from Lebanon to Latin America. This piece reflects the courage to leave behind the familiar and embrace the adventure of building a new future. Blending cultural heritage with a spirit of resilience, it celebrates those who dream boldly and forge their own paths.
